Not sure how I missed a whole protocol
iTimeSync has been a popular program all things considered, and unlike other popular programs it's one that has been used by me. Sometimes you just need to LEGO of your account
Darn. Not how I feel but this is a public G rated blog.
Just discovered I've lost an important account on the interwebs. Had it for 15+ years. Hard to be sure exactly how long as I've lost the account. LEGO related, but I'm not trying publicly cause trouble so I'm not naming here, and it should be obvious in any case. Used for buying and selling, had a store where you listed all your wares and the price you expected, and it had a feedback number... so it's loss is really annoying. Can (...)
Point five
Was talking to someone about a movie and was confused to hear "too many point five shots". I asked and they described what they meant and I said "like a fish eye" and soon after I understood. 'cos of the "0.5" button on phones. Ahhhhh.....
Looking into this the term has been around for at least two years. Sigh.
5000 photos might be too much
My other major obsession is photography. It's why this site is a photo site with news and text features. But anyway I've fallen behind in some site stuff as I went to a Roller Derby and took 5000 photos. Which takes a long time to go through. I learnt a lot due to this so there's no real regrets, but yeah. One of the prices of using features like pre capture. But that's done and I'll be back on the case.
Very dead links
One of the links that I found was no longer valid went from a Software Association to some sort of sport network. Going by The Wayback Machine practically over night too. Weird... But I suppose that is where independent software developers are now. AI is probably going to make it all worse too. Which means it is time to make more software just the same!
Major site work
So yeah, the site needed a lot of work. Not as much as maintaining forums, not likely to go back down that path again... but things do change in the interwebs so there are still changes needed to keep things current. In addition there still were (and are to a limited extent) references to the forum, incorrect links, links to sites that no longer exist in the same form they were... Sigh. But almost done with that.
New ummmm stuff
New beta! New release? Dunno. The plan for the rapid-cycle was 'cos several life issues were happening, some happened and some did not, but in any case available time became less. Now time has improved in the short term... but the number one goal is stable programs. So what may end up happening is a whole lot of new Beta releases and a new release months down the track. Not sure. For now the plan is Betas...
A return indeed
Back? Maybe. Right now I'm looking for my headspace, which was dropped on the floor about two years ago...

While innocently watching videos on a laptop I get an alert; Defender claims it is being useful and has found a threat. Clearly not; it is yet again a false detection of one of my own programs that is NOT a Trojan. Sigh. Things like this really were a thorn in my side when I was trying to build up a reputation. You can complain about it, and it will be fixed, but it's a game of Whack-a-stupid-detection. Anyway Wacatac.B. Not in my code.
